THIS Morning has continued to be hit with Ofcom complaints after they offered to pay energy bills as a competition prize on the Spin to Win game.

The TV watchdog has confirmed that they received 379 official complaints from upset viewers – despite the ITV show quietly scrapping the prize.

The pair are now under fire after skipping The Queue

Earlier this month the competition offered viewers the chance to have their energy bills paid in response to the current cost of living crisis.

Outraged fans took to social media to slam the concept as Spin To Win players were playing for either a cash prize or all of their household bills paid until the end of the year.

Just days later it was revealed Spin To Win was back to normal – offering callers prizes between £800 and £2000.

While neither Phillip Schofield or Holly Willoughby acknowledged the decision, it didn’t go unnoticed by those watching at home.

Petition to sack Holly and Phil DOUBLES overnight to 36k after queue backlash

This Morning fans worry for Holly and clam ‘she’s been crying all night’

Initially, the This Morning received 170 complaints about it but this has risen dramatically over the last week as the ‘tone deaf’ move sunk in for viewers.

The figures come in the same week Phillip and Holly have come under fire after they were accused of jumping the queue to view the Queen lying in state on Friday.

Members of the public were left furious as the TV hosts appeared to skip the long line, after some of them waited for up to 14 hours.

A petition for them to go is gaining momentum despite an on-air apology yesterday, where they insisted they would “never skip a queue”.
