SCOTLAND could leapfrog England in the Uefa Nations League after the Three Lions were RELEGATED from the top division.

England had been in League A of the competition since its inception, and won the third-place play-off in 2019.

But it’s been a different story this year and a run of five games without a win in all competitions has led to Gareth Southgate’s side being dumped from the top tier of Uefa’s newest tournament.

In a rematch of the Euro 2020 Final, England lost 1-0 loss to Euro champions Italy.

Giacomo Raspadori scored the goal that sealed England’s fate in the 68th minute.

Scotland’s impressive 3-0 win over Ukraine in midweek put the Dark Blues top of their Nations League group and England’s relegation has opened the door to the prospect of Scotland being promoted and leapfrogging the Auld Enemy.
