SIX million Brits will get a one-off £150 Cost of Living payment to help offset rising energy bills – with more to come in October.

This one-off payment is aimed at helping disabled Brits overcome soaring prices and rising inflation amid the Cost of Living crisis.

The £150 began arriving in bank accounts from September 20, with the final payments expected to be sent out to all those eligible by early October.

According to a survey for the debt charity, Money Advice Trust, one in five adults across the UK, have fallen behind with at least one household bill payment.

The survey estimates that around 10.9 million people were behind in their bills.
